Faraone Jewelry

faraone sapphire diamond ring

Tracing its roots back to 1860, the august Italian house of Faraone enjoys a venerated client list spanning its 150-year history, one which comprises members of European royalty, aristocratic Italian families including the Savoys, and international celebrities such as Maria Callas. It was after World War I that the company opened its first salon on the Via Montenapoleone in Milan and although Faraone is not as well-known in the U.S., the firm makes exquisite pieces, lauded for both design and workmanship.

The Settepassi family, with a long lineage of talented jewelers, has helmed the brand since the early 1960s and it was under its watch that Faraone established a close affiliation with Tiffany & Co., begun in the late 1980s; together they opened a boutique in Italy and the partnership lasted until 2001.

Today the company is separate from Tiffany and is helmed by Cesare Settepassi, who has steered the elite jeweler back to its roots, creating gorgeous haute joaillerie. The company’s bijoux incorporate colorful, precious stones set in 18k gold or platinum, in classic, graceful styles. Additionally, there are more modern lines that have a bit more edge.
