Chaumet Jewelry

Chaumet Jewelry

Founded in 1780, the venerable French Chaumet jewelry firm has roots going back to Nitot & Fils, jewelers to European Royalty in the 18th and 19th Centuries. With unique highlights like being the official jeweler to Napoleon and shaping the look of jewelry during the Belle Epoque, Chaumet has an incredibly storied history of creating remarkable pieces that are also reflective of the history and culture that informed them.

The firm changed its name to Chaumet in the late 19th Century when Joseph Chaumet assumed control. From this time the Chaumet firm continued its tradition of creating magnificent jewelry for European Royalty and connoisseurs of well crafted French design and fine gemstones.

Today there is still a refined and delicate look to a Chaumet piece, a lightness and understated appeal regardless of how many carats something contains.

Much like the style of Paris, the city to which Chaumet is inextricably linked, there is an ease and effortless nature to the jewelry that tempers the opulence making it feel truly timeless.
