Gucci’s heavily anticipated Spring 2017 show opened Milan Fashion Week on Tuesday and the whimsical, 70’s nature of the in-demand collection did not disappoint. But just as interesting as the reboot of this classic Italian house is the man responsible.
Creative director Alessandro Michele has imparted his quirky, geek-chic aesthetic onto the clothes and turned the already great accessories on their head to be the most coveted slides, loafers, bags and well, just about everything, out there at the moment.

The genius of wearing and styling accessories may well come from his very own personal style. He wears no less than 10 rings at a time and seems to have a jewelry box full of treasures to mine on a daily basis.
From gilded lions to pearl borders and oversized skulls, Michele sports an eclectic mix of jewels that don’t seem like they’d make sense, but absolutely do.
Take a cue from how the creative genius styles his rings and pile on, mix up make it totally personal.
