A huge plus of all that bare skin (i.e. plunging necklines) seen on the likes of Mandy Moore, Kristen Bell, Priyanka Chopra, Jessica Biel and Gina Rodriguez during last night’s 74th annual Golden Globes, was that there was plenty more real estate for each star to wear designer necklaces and a smattering of gorgeous jewelry, and that they did.
From choker length necklaces — see Michelle Williams’ DIY black bow or best actress winner Emma Stone’s Tiffany Archival necklace, which delicately accented her ethereal Valentino gown, the abbreviated length was a ubiquitous style.
Other significant collarbone grazing pieces were seen on Reese Witherspoon, who wore a gold and diamond Tiffany Archival necklace, paired with yellow diamond earrings and a selection of rings all from the brand. Sienna Miller coupled her white Michael Kors dress with a strand of classic Tiffany pearls and diamond earrings.
Kristen Bell’s chest baring Jenny Packham gown made ample room for the more than 115 carats of Harry Winston jewels the actress wore. From the 42.54 carat vintage 1963 Three Row Diamond Hoop Earrings set in platinum, to the 68.57 carat Secret Combination diamond bracelet, also set in platinum, the diminutive star certainly shined bright.

For the men, Best Supporting Actor winner Aaron Taylor-Johnson looked especially dapper in a Beladora Art Deco onyx, diamond and seed pearl dress-set in yellow gold and platinum.
Considering the constellation of stars that descends onto the red carpet for this major awards show, the jewelry was a strong competitor for attention. But even with the drama and formality of such an event, there’s clearly always room for some fun and creativity. Case in point: Best Actress in a Comedy Series winner Tracee Ellis Ross wearing diamond rings from brands, Noudar, L’Dezen by Payal Shah and Hueb that spanned every single of her fingers and appeared almost like jeweled gloves.
