Van Cleef and Arpels Diamond and Yellow Sapphire Butterfly Earrings in 18K
A pastoral style fit for a princess, these designer Van Cleef and Arpels diamond, yellow sapphire and pearl earrings are splendidly sylvan. A pair of graceful golden butterflies are set with either lemon yellow sapphires or illuminated by brigh white diamonds. In between the butterflies, a single creamy pearl rests, and another drops from the bottom of the earring. Originally created as a prototype design to grace the ears of the late Elizabeth Taylor upon her being damed by Queen Elizabeth in 1999, Taylor chose to wear an elongated version of this style. These estate signed designer Van Cleef and Arpels diamond, yellow sapphire and pearl butterfly earrings measure 1 7/8 inches and have clip backs.
